It is gratifying to hear classical music help carry such an excellent film.  Composer Alexander Desplat glues the film together with his excellent work, while classical German composers underscore the drama throughout.  “The King’s Speech” is enjoyable for all audiences.  It will be interesting to see if this film will encourage renewed interest in classical music, at least for the time being.
