PIONEER THEATRE UNVEILS 2013-14 SEASON

Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC) has announced its 2013-14 lineup, which will feature several company premieres as well as a Utah premiere.

Below is a listing of plays and dates.

  • Sept. 20-Oct. 5: Something’s Afoot, book, music and lyrics by James McDonald, David Vos and Robert Gerlach, additional music by Ed Linderman; PTC premiere.
  • Oct. 25-Nov. 9: Other Desert Cities, by Jon Robin Baitz, winner of the 2012 Outer Critics Circle Award and Pulitzer Prize finalist for best play; Utah premiere.
  • Dec. 6-21, extra performances Dec. 23-24: Elf – The Musical, book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, based on the film Elf; PTC premiere.
  • Jan. 24-Feb. 8, 2014: A Few Good Men, by Aaron Sorkin; PTC premiere.
  • Feb. 21-March 8, 2014: Much Ado About Nothing, by William Shakespeare.
  • March 28-April 12, 2014: Deathtrap, by Ira Levin; PTC premiere.
  • May 9-24, 2014: Sweet Charity, book by Neil Simon, music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields, based on an original screenplay by Federico Fellini, Tullio Pinelli and Ennio Flaiano; PTC premiere.
