PETER BREINHOLT JOINS LYCEUM PHILHARMONIC IN VETERAN’S DAY PROGRAM

Singer/songwriter Peter Breinholt will join the American Heritage Lyceum Philharmonic this weekend in a pair of Veteran’s Day concerts Nov. 11-12. United States senator Mike Lee will be guest narrator at the Nov. 12 performance.

The Lyceum Philharmonic, under the direction of Kayson Brown, is made up of young musicians aged 13-18 from around the state. It was named “Best Youth Instrumental Group” for three consecutive years from 2009-11 by Best of State Utah. In the past, a number of well known Utahns have performed with the ensemble, including Jenny Oaks Baker, Michael Ballam and Dallyn Vail Bayles.

The orchestra has recently released its first CD, Hearts & Minds, which will be on sale at the concerts.

The performances will take place at the American Heritage School, 736 N. 1100 East, American Fork. Start time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door and $8 in advance.
