NOVA TO PRESENT MUSIC BY BACH, MOZART AND STRAVINSKY

The NOVA Chamber Music Series’ next concert is this Sunday. The program features a diverse mix of works that includes selections from J.S. Bach’s The Art of Fugue; Igor Stravinsky’s Three Pieces for String Quartet and the Concertino; and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s String Quintet in C major, K. 515.

Performing will be a quintet of Utah Symphony string players: violinists Kathryn Eberle (the symphony’s new associate concertmaster) and David Porter; violists Brant Bayless and Roberta Zalkind; and cellist Pegsoon Whang.

The concert takes place Feb. 12 at 3 p.m. in Libby Gardner Concert Hall. Tickets are $18 for general; $15 for seniors; $5 for students; and free for University of Utah students.
