ISABELLE FAUST IN RECITAL MONDAY

German violinist Isabelle Faust returns to Salt Lake City next week after a lengthy absence. She’ll be playing a recital with her long time partner, pianist Alexander Melnikov on Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Libby Gardner Concert Hall in David Gardner Hall on the University of Utah campus. Tickets are $30 for general and $5 for students and are available at the door. For more information log on to www.cmsofslc.org.

The award winning violinist will play an all-19th century program: Beethoven’s Sonata No. 3 in E flat major, Schubert’s Fantasie in C major and two sonatas by Weber, No. 3 in D minor and No. 4 in E flat major.

There will be a free pre-concert lecture by violinist and author Gerald Elias at 6:45 p.m. in Room 270 in David Gardner Hall.
