‘HIGHWAY 89’ SET TO LAUNCH TONIGHT ON KBYU-FM WITH PERFORMANCE BY UTAH PREMIERE BRASS

Classical 89 is launching a new weekly program tonight. Called Highway 89 it features live performances by local ensembles recorded in the new state-of-the-art studios at BYU Broadcasting.

Tonight’s concert, which begins at 8 p.m., spotlights Utah Premiere Brass, a 35 piece brass band conducted by Kirt Saville. The Provo based ensemble will play a program that will include a wide range of works from different style periods and genres.

Tune in to KBYU-FM to hear the concert or listen to it online at www.classical89.org.

Starting next week, Highway 89 will be broadcast at its normal time on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
