The Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre (UFOMT) will once again recognize Utah youth for their work in musical theatre.

The awards presentation will be hosted by Michael Ballam and will feature numbers performed by each of the nominees for Best Musical. Nominees in the categories of Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress will also perform.

There will also be awards recognizing several other categories, including Best Scenic Design, Best Ensemble, Best Orchestra and Best Lighting.

Winners will compete at the National High School Musical Theater Awards in New York City.

The awards presentation takes place on April 27 at 7 p.m. in the Kent Concert Hall at Utah State University. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and available by calling the UFOMT box office at 435-750-0300, ext. 3, or online at www.arttix.org.
