Beethoven Festival Park City Performed in New York April 30

Pre-Concert Rehearsal at the Barge


The April 30 afternoon concert on the New York Bargemusic Series featured the Festival Artists in Residence Russell Harlow, clarinetist and Leslie Blackburn Harlow, violist, violinist Simon Gollo and pianist John Novacek performing the following program:
Gerster Sonata for Viola and Piano
“Pur ti miro” by Monteverdi,
arranged for Viola and Clarinet
Tzigane by Ravel for Violin and Piano
Danzas Argentinas by Ginastera for Piano
Beethoven’s “Don Giovanni Variations”
for Clarinet and Piano
The Trio for Clarinet, Violin and Piano by Menotti

The concert, held the same weekend the Utah Symphony performed at Carnegie Hall, helped celebrate Utah’s rich classical music offerings, with the aim to encourage cultural tourism for Park City, Summit County and Utah in general.

These same artists will be performing during the 2016 Autumn Classics Festival presented each year by the Beethoven Festival. Violinist Simon Gollo will also perform during the 2016 Beethoven Festival Summer Season.
